Please note that this week is the Rummage Sale at Hughes Methodist Church on Plyers Mill & Georgia Ave in Silver Spring, MD. There are NO Wednesday (MARCH 21) HUGHES classes. Thursday (March 22) HUGHES classes will be held at Glen Echo Park and Saturday (March 24) HUGHES classes will also be held at Glen Echo park. Individual class emails have been sent. Please check your emails for information. NO other locations other than Hughes will be effected this week.
NOTE: St. Paul's Classes on Thursday WILL BE HELD and Saturday ROCKVILLE Classes will both be held at regular location and regular times.

Trinity Hall in Bethesda on Wilson Lane has run a bunch of tests, all of which have come back negative for asbestos. The hall is safe to use! Classes today, Monday, Feb 20 and tomorrow, Feb 21 will return to Trinity. So, same place & same time! Thank you all for your patience during this time!

December 06, 2011A HUGE Congratulations to ALL Oireachtas dancers!
This weekend was SO exciting for the Culkin School! We had 30 dancers compete; all of whom made us proud! Congratulations to the 11 dancers who qualified for the North American Championships AND the 8 dancers who qualified for the World Championships! Another HUGE shout out to Simone L, who won the U9 Competition. We are so proud of everyone! Also, thank you to our teams! We had at least 6 teams on the podium (TOP 5!!) Woohoo!
December 03, 2011Oireachtas Weekend 12/2-5/11The Culkin School will be well represented at our regional championsips this weekend in Orlando, with 30 solo dancers and a big group of teams (including adult teams) heading down to compete. There will be no classes on Saturday, 12/3 not Monday 12/5 as our staff is with these competitors. Good luck Team Culkin! October 06, 2011Irish Seams at The Dress Exchange This Weekend!Irish Seams will be available at the Culkin School Dress Exchange on 8 Oct between 10am & 2pm to assist with new costume orders and alterations. We will also be available to advise on the suitability/alterabilty of used dresses available at the Dress Exchange. Irish Seams will also be available for fitting appointments for dresses, vests, beginner costumes, track suits and alterations at their location (13401 Tangier Place, Rockville, MD 20853) on the following dates from 4pm until 8pm: Friday, Oct 14th (4-8pm) Tuesday, Oct 18th (4-8pm) Monday, Oct 24th (4-8pm) If you are interested, or have any further questions, please contact Irish Seams at irishseams@hotmail.com or 240-997-4583 to schedule an appointment. Each fitting takes approximately 20 minutes to accomplish the neccessary measurements. The dancer should wear clothes similar to the clothing they would wear under the dress/vest at feis or performance. Their hair should also be in a bun or put up to allow clear access to the neck. TRACK SUIT Alert: The last date to order a track suit for O's is 18 October. The last date to order track suits for the holidays is 4 November. The price is the same as last year: $100.00 for the track suit & $75.00 for the jacket only. The fitting set and order forms will be available at the Dress Exchange and the Irish Seams "Open House" fitting dates.

This is a reminder that the dress exchange will be held on Saturday, October 8 at Hughes Methodist (corner of Georgia Ave & Plyers Mill Rd) from 10am-2pm. Bring your gently used dance shoes, Culkin gear, Culkin school dress/vest/beginner costume to sell OR just bring yourself to buy those much needed shoes, dresses, vests, etc...Please don't miss out on this opportunity! A HUGE congratulations to Emily M for winning her 2nd Preliminary first place at the Ryan Feis this Saturday. Emily is now an OPEN Championship dancer, the highest level a dancer can achieve! Way to go EM!!!
