If the dancer decides to drop out after
one or two increments have been paid, then that is all that is due. If the
family has paid more up front, then we would calculate how many increments would
have been paid and the balance is refunded to the family. This policy applies
all the way though February. If a dancer stays with us till February, then the
full tuition is due.More information on
our tuition policy is available on our Tuition Page.
I'm a teenager and I'd like to take Irish
dance classes. Is there a class for me?
There is certainly a place for all beginners --
including teens -- at our school. There are our regular beginners classes that
are geared towards younger students and we also have our Level I adult beginners
class. Teens ages 16 & up are welcome to join the adult beginners class
for a year to learn our basic material.
As you advance in your material, you can move
to our regular classes, which are based on levels and not on ages. Also, in a
typical year, the adult beginner class will advance at a quicker pace than the
children's beginner classes. You will likely cover all of the material in Level
I and Level II and would be ready to move into regular Level III by the next
class year if you wanted to continue with us.
More information on classes is available in our
Classes section.
I currently go to another Irish Dance
school, but am interested in transferring. What do I need to do?
The Culkin School accepts transfer students. If
you are relocating to the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area and are interested
in continuing Irish dance instruction, we like for you to to
meet with one of the members of our staff before beginning any class.
Please see our
Transfers page for complete information.
What do I wear to
classes? Do I need to bring anything special with me to class?
Information on what to wear to
class, as well as the rest of our school policies and guidelines is available on
this website on our School Policies and Guidelines
page.
